Joint Activities Service and Bradford Motor Education Project have merged to become J.A.M.E.S. (Joint Activities and Motor Education Service). Between the two charities we have over 50 years experience of working with ‘at risk’ and ‘disadvantaged’ young people and families in the Bradford and Keighley district. We deliver an array of programmes and services to young people predominantly aged 8-19, but also work with families and communities.
Our mission statement is:
To provide an effective, caring and understanding environment where young people can overcome disadvantage and lack of provision to achieve their full potential in life through the enthusiastic delivery of relevant education, training and leisure opportunities. To enhance the quality of life in local communities through the development of community safety and regeneration strategies. To support local and national government strategies which enhance opportunities for young people.
As an independent school we deliver a full curriculum to young people and have a large garage and various units where we deliver mecahnics as a vocational subject to young people ages 13 to 25. We need volunteers within the garage to support our young people to achieve their potential.
