Volunteering

Why volunteer?

At Bradford College Students’ Union we strongly believe investing back into our community. We currently work alongside a vast number of charities and schools within Bradford.  By volunteering not only do you help within your community, you also get to meet new people, make new friends, gain vital skills that will assist you in later life.

You can get involved in one off projects, micro- volunteering (anything from 1-30 mins!), start your own student volunteering project, or commit to more regular volunteering within the community.

You can view our current vacancies on our website – alternatively, pop in to the SU and have a chat with our Volunteer Co-ordinator who will be more than happy to help you find a volunteering opportunity that fits around your busy schedule or answer any questions you may have!

Do I need any experience to volunteer?

No! The majority of roles advertised on our website to do not require any previous experience. All we need from you is enthusiasm and be willing to get involved!  Should the role involve filling out application forms, pop into the SU where the Volunteer Co-ordinator will gladly help.

The Students' Union has links with over 60 charities/voluntary organisations that operate in Bradford. The charities work in a variety of different areas (see below). If you want to volunteer, or see what's available, then please either:
