Leadership Skills Development Opportunity

Calling all female students!

The Muslim Women’s Council invites you to join their new and innovative ‘Think Tank Programme’.
 
This programme has been created and developed by Bradford's own Muslim Women's Council and is available to female students at Bradford College. The programme aims to empower and give a platform to women to identify and influence the key issues for Muslim women, using their own lived experience.  

You do not need to still be living in Bradford itself, but you will have first-hand experience of the issues faced by Muslim women in the City. 

The Muslim Women's Council will be providing skilled training and facilitation through this process. This programme is suitable for women who would like to develop skills in confidence building, assertiveness and articulation of viewpoint, and is FREE.  


Outcomes for you as a participant & community influencer:
·  Develop skills in confidence, articulation and valuing your lived experience
·  Undertaking the training that will equip participants to develop skills in research, critical thinking and debating through their local, family and community (formal and informal) networks, be able to reach women to gauge their views on a variety of issues relevant to Muslim women
·  The opportunity to influence the narrative on Muslim women in Britain
·  Development of a community resource/think tank and a stepping stone to employment, engagement with research institutions, public services and private institutions re commissioned work 
 
The programme consists of weekly workshop sessions for training, culminating in research on a topic of your choice resulting in a findings report.
