Diwali Celebration

Diwali brings people together, regardless of their backgrounds, to celebrate unity, renewal, and prosperity. Come and explore the Hindu festival celebrated across the world. You will use creative skills and make a range of rangoli patterns traditionally created using rice, sand, flowers and other materials. Refreshments provided.

Speed contributes to around one in four fatal collisions on our roads, and kills and injures 58 young people every week. This workshop appeals to young drivers to raise awareness of the impact that even slight speeding on roads can have.

Whether you’re a pro, or a newbie, join our crocheting workshop, run by the University of Bradford Crocheting Society members.

Anti-Bullying

This session highlights the impact that bullying has on those that experience it. We will dive into the challenges of bullying, how we can prevent it, and how you can access support.


 

Bonfire Night Safety

Join us in this informative session delivered by the West Yorkshire Fire Service around fire safety and keeping yourself safe for Bonfire night. Discussions will involve understanding the consequences of anti-social behaviour. 

 

Informed Choices - Young People and Criminality

An interactive discussion-based workshop on some of the ‘Pull Factors’ to why young people and young adults get involved in crime. This workshop will be
discussing drugs, drug addiction, and violence from real life examples, and how to overcome these challenges.

Introduction to Driving Theory Test

This session will help you in preparation for taking the Driving Theory Test. The instructor will also cover the ‘what to expect on the practical test’ along with lots of useful tips to make you a safer driver.


 

Lives not Knives

This interactive workshop to raise awareness about the hazards of carrying knives or other bladed articles. Led by skilled facilitators with expertise in working with youth and engaging with communities. 


 

Odd Arts Performance

‘Here and Now’ includes a hard-hitting play that includes many complex societal problems relating to hateful extremism, focussing on the far right and international terrorism. Participants of this workshop will use this play to test out solutions and early interventions. 
 

Spend it Wisely

14% of young people spend money on some form of gambling each week. From this workshop young people will gain the awareness, knowledge and skills to make safer choices around gambling. Students will learn how to recognise the signs, understand the impact of problem gambling and identify how to access help.
