Tea and Talk Tuesdays

Every Tuesday, join our personal development officers for a lovely cup of tea, and some time to chat about anything and everything! This is a safe space for you to voice your concerns, your worries, or just to get to know the team!

 

​Community Clean-Up

Meet at Student Central, GF-26, DHB

​Students will be accompanied by wardens to clean up the streets of Bradford. Show your respect for the place you live by keeping it clean! High-vis jackets, litter pickers, and bags will be provided.

Calling all men! Come to this safe space to discuss your mental health, meet like-minded people. Reflect on your ambitions, whilst finding your sense of belonging through education, family, and society.

Celebrating Disability Expand icon

This session is to create awareness and provide information on various disabilities and impairments. Learn about the challenges faced by individuals living with disabilities and how to help.

County Lines Expand icon

This workshop explores what county lines is and how young people are at risk of being groomed. We will discuss how to stay safe.

Cruisin’ for a Bruisin’ (Drive Safe) Expand icon

Students will explore key aspects of road safety, including the ‘Fatal Five’—excess speed, mobile phone use, drink and drug driving, seatbelt use, and careless driving—as well as driver fatigue.

The Problem- Solving Company

These problem-solving challenges take construction to a whole new level. Teams have to create a delivery vehicle for a first aid kit to aid some injured adventurers. This might sound easy until you realise you also have to build a bridge to cross a river, and other tricky tasks!

Yorkshire Water

Holocaust Remembrance

​​Students will visit ‘The Centre’, developed by the University of Huddersfield and the Holocaust Survivors’ Friendship Association. One of only two centres in the UK, this immersive and informative exhibition focuses on the history of the Holocaust, memories, thoughts and impact.
