Tea and Talk Tuesdays

Every Tue, 11:00-12:00 & 13:00-14:00
Foyer, DHB & Open Area, TG

Every Tuesday, join our personal development officers for a lovely cup of tea, and some time to chat about anything and everything! This is a safe space for you to voice your concerns, your worries, or just to get to know the team!

Community Clean-Up

Meet at Student Central, GF-26, DHB

Students will be accompanied by wardens to clean up the streets of Bradford. Show your respect for the place you live by keeping it clean! High-vis jackets, litter pickers, and bags will be provided.

Arts & Crafts Join us for an immersive themed arts and craft session, bringing your creative ideas to life! Whether it’s Christmas, Easter, Eid or something you just want to try, you will learn new skills and relax into this workshop.	Board Games Feeling competitive? Or just want to have some fun with friends? We’ve got you! Board games are a great way to make sure you have a laugh, make new friends, or gain some critical thinking skills!	Brothers in Balance Calling all men! Come to this safe space to discuss your mental health, meet like-minded people. Reflect on your ambitions, whilst finding your sense of belonging through education, family, and society.


Celebrating Disability This session is to create awareness and provide information on various disabilities and impairments. Learn about the challenges faced by individuals living with disabilities and how to help.	County Lines This workshop explores what county lines is and how young people are at risk of being groomed. We will discuss how to stay safe.	Cruisin’ for a Bruisin’ (Drive Safe) Students will explore key aspects of road safety, including the ‘Fatal Five’—excess speed, mobile phone use, drink and drug driving, seatbelt use, and careless driving—as well as driver fatigue.


CV Drop-in If you’re starting from scratch, writing a great CV can seem like a significant and time-consuming task. Drop in for tips and help with writing a CV or updating an existing one.	Go Arty! Come and paint your feelings and ideas onto the canvas!	Healthy Eating - Protein Balls! Learn how to stay healthy for less with this interactive protein ball making session.


Mental Health Walk and Talk Mental health can be a tough conversation. Join us for a walk and talk session about mental health and the effects this has on people, in the calming outdoors, in a safe and non judgmental space.	Money Sense This interactive workshop introduces students to the financial concepts of selling, spending, and saving. Students explore the difference between needs and wants and consider the importance of the everyday things.	No Bake, No Wait Not only are these dishes ‘no bake’, they are also ‘no cook’! This means you don’t need an oven to create delicious food. Short on time? No problem, we’ve got you covered with the best recipes.


Revive and Reimagine: Upcycling Made Easy! Do you want to be creative and transform something you own? Explore ways to repurpose materials such as glass bottles, cardboard, and plastic containers, and turn this into Art.	Smoothie Secrets Come and give it a go, create and try a nutritious smoothie. Take away some fresh recipes on how to improve your body’s nutrition and try at home.	Stress Buster Our stress busters can help you to reduce your stress levels and anxiety, focusing on physical activity which releases those amazing, feel-good endorphins! Come and give it a go if you want to not only see a difference, but feel it too!


The Art of Relaxation Reduce stress, calm your anxiety, and take some time for yourself, through the art of relaxation. Here, we will explore the nature of stress, its impact on our lives, and effective strategies to manage and reduce it.	The Beauty of British Sign An incitive introduction to British Sign Language. This session helps you to develop essential skills, developing a basic understanding of British Sign Language.	Lives not Knives Raise your awareness about the hazards of carrying knives or other bladed articles. Led by skilled facilitators with expertise in working with youth and engaging with communities.

The Problem- Solving Company

These problem-solving challenges take construction to a whole new level. Teams have to create a delivery vehicle for a first aid kit to aid some injured adventurers. This might sound easy until you realise you also have to build a bridge to cross a river, and other tricky tasks!

Yorkshire Water

During this workshop we will cover the water cycle and changing state. Students will learn about the work that Yorkshire Water does, make a water cycle in a bag and be encouraged to think about ways in which they can be responsible with their own water usage.

‘Here and Now’ includes a hard-hitting play that includes many complex societal problems relating to hateful extremism, focussing on the far right and international terrorism. Participants of this workshop will use this play to test out solutions and early interventions.

Here, you will cover when to start CPR, how to give effective CPR, and knowing when to call for help. HSBC – Open Up a Bank Account DHB, TG & ATC This essential workshop focuses on how to open a bank account, a vital part of adult life. We will develop our team building skills, completing some challenges and tasks based around money and banking, getting you ready for life outside of college.	On Yer’Bike! Give it a Go Across all campuses Combining delicious smoothies with exercise! Make your own smoothies using our very own smoothie bike, using refreshing fresh fruit and some serious pedalling! Holocaust Remembrance

Students will visit ‘The Centre’, developed by the University of Huddersfield and the Holocaust Survivors’ Friendship Association. One of only two centres in the UK, this immersive and informative exhibition focuses on the history of the Holocaust, memories, thoughts and impact.
