Students' Union officers attended the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.

The Students' Union organised a petition of students to call for a break of all lessons at 11am, with nearly half of the college signing it. 1911.

The Union's charitable Raise and Give drive (RAG) was a huge draw for crowds. Here, Chemistry students are performing a play on a truck outside City Hall. 1930s.

The annual RAG Revue was a comedy featuring staff and students at the College dressing up, singing operettas and musical numbers. 1930s.

Anyone could contribute to the Collegian which includes notices about things going on in colleges as well as travel writing, commentary, and articles. 1903
