Student Reps

It’s your education. The best person to make it what you need it to be is you. You have the right to influence college decision making so that you can be satisfied with your course and your learning.

The easiest way to have your say on the way your course works is through Student Reps. Every course and programme of study has at least one Student Rep, and at the start of the year all groups should pick one. Student Reps work to bring forward the issues, opinions, feedback and ideas of students to staff, and then work together with staff to make positive changes.

Any student can be a Student Rep. As a rep you will receive training from the Students’ Union, and regular information and opportunities to get involved in the Union and the College. The minimum time commitment for a year is about 14 hours – the training and meetings, plus about 10 minutes a week.
