We are really excited to welcome Stephanie Hirst to join in our International Women`s Day celebrations this year. During her talk, Stephanie will be sharing her amazing career journey as well as talking about her achievements. With over 30 years in the industry and 15 years hosting the biggest breakfast show outside of London on Capital Yorkshire, she now hosts ‘The Stephanie Hirst Show’ weekdays 2-6pm on BBC Radio Leeds, alongside her unique Kitchen Belters DJ sets on Facebook which reaches over a 100,000 views each week. Expanding into TV, she has presented for ITV’s Lorraine,The Jeremy Vine Show, BBC Breakfast, BBC Inside Out and written for The Guardian & The Independent. Starting her career aged 12 at Radio Aire in Leeds, securing a slot on the overnight show at 16, this took her on an unbelievable journey hosting some of the biggest commercial radio shows in the UK, including the national Sunday top 40 show ‘Hit40Uk’ for 3 years, along with interviewing some of the world’s biggest stars. With over 15 awards (including Sony & ARIAs), she is a Fellow of the Radio Academy, former Chair of the Student Radio Awards & recipient of an Honorary Doctorate from Leeds Beckett University.
